USEtoxTM model

The USEtoxTM model is an environmental model for characterization of human and ecotoxic impacts in Life Cycle Impact Assessment and for comparative assessment and ranking of chemicals according to their inherent hazard characteristics.

The USEtoxTM model has been developed under by a team of researchers from the Task Force on Toxic Impacts under the UNEP-SETAC Life Cycle Initiative.

The mission of the USEtox Team is to improve understanding and management of chemicals in the global environment by further developing, evaluating, applying and disseminating the model USEtox that describes the fate, exposure and effects of chemicals

The USEtoxTM model is currently under review by the UNEP SETAC Life Cycle Initiative with the perspective of a global recommendation as the preferred model for characterization modeling of human and ecotoxic impacts in LCIA
